The following is a list of connection methods.

Some of the other keys can be assigned to blackout, fade out etc. You cab also define a key to always access a specific cue, i.e. a smoke machine cue.

You can view the system Variables in Navigator/System Control. Right-click on any of the types Binary, Decimal or Colour and select Properties. This will display a window that allows you to look at the current values of the variables. You can use this window to manually change these values for test purposes.

Variables can be set via system commands. Variables types are as follows,

These are simple on/off values and can be used to step through chases and sequences, control chase directions and control optional sequence steps.

Use the Set Binary Variable System Command to control the state of the variable.

The rate control is used in many dialogs for controlling timing of fade and hold times.

=== Time adjustment ===
The slider is used to adjust the time between steps of a scene, chase or effect. The time is displayed in the text ox below the slider with a format of m:s.t, where m is minutes, s is seconds and t is thousandths of a second.

=== BPM timing ===
Selecting the bpm button changes the slider from a time control to a factor of the system BPM timer. The system BPM timer is displayed on the Status Tool bar.

Adjust the slider to select a factor by which to multiply the system BPM.

=== Hold proportion ===
Click the H button to change the slider to Hold mode. This is the proportion of the set time that is hold time. For example, if you have set a time of 1.000 seconds and the proportion is set to 25% then the fade in will be 0.750 seconds and the hold time will be 0.250 seconds. Note that the overall time is unaffected. When it is hold mode the button changes to display R for rate. Click the R button to return to Rate mode.

The bottom left button displays this graphically and clicking this button will toggle the proportion between 100% (i.e. step) and 0% (i.e. all fade).

This also applies to the BPM mode.

This Operator GUI is a very power tool for controlling your environment through touch screen controls. You can open multiple instances of this panel on multiple screen and it can be installed on remote devices such as tablets or PCs.

The Operator GUI right-click menu contains setup functionality and help information.

=== Setting up Instances ===
From the Main Menu go to Tools/Preferences/Start Up. Set the Instance to that you require. Check the Show Operator Screen box in order to automatically display the screens when Artist starts.

=== Selecting Input ===
To use the audio input you must select the correct audio source in the Windows Mixer. Select 'Start/All Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/Volume Control'

Select 'Options/Properties'. This open a dialog, - select 'Recording' and click 'OK'. The Recording Control mixer is now displayed showing all the input sources on you sound card.

If you are connecting a line to you sound card it will usually be connected to the 'Line In'.

When you close Window normally this input state will be saved.
